Over the last century the building that houses the Tune Inn has seen a variety of establishments. From a candy kitchen, to a speak easy in the 20s and then a men’s tailor that would cater to the gentlemen of the US Congress. In 1947, Joe Nardelli, acquired the building and named it The Tune Inn. To date we hold the second oldest liquor license in DC after the repeal of prohibition. After Joes passing his son, Tony Nardelli took over the business and currently Lisa Nardelli, Joes granddaughter and Tonys daughter is the owner & operator. Family owned and operated for over 70 years!
During PHASE 2 of reopening DC our patio & limited indoor seating
are open WED thru SAT from 430-1130pm.

The Tune Inn is located at 331 1/2 Pennsylvania Avenue Southeast, Washington, DC 20003.
We are located between two Metro stops on the Blue/Orange line, Eastern Market and Capitol South.
The Tune Inn was featured on the Food Network show DDD. The show highlighted our Joes West Virginia Sandwich, our DC Famous Mozz Sticks and the deep fried Beer Battered Burger! When you come in go for the triple threat and you will not be disappointed! Make sure to ask for a side of our signature sauce.
The Tune Inn has t-shirts, koozies and even underwear for sale in-house! If you would like to order online and have it shipped to you, please visit: https://tune-inn-quarantine-apparel.myshopify.com/collections/all
To date, we have been featured on Esquire TV’s Best Bars in America 2015, as well as listed in their 100 Best Bars in America. Our burgers were listed in, Hamburger America and the show Drinking Made Easy featured us, as well. The Tune Inn has acquired many accolades in its 70 plus years but the best way to experience it is to Come in, let your hair down, and make yourself at home. Joe and Tony would have wanted it that way!
